Tell us about your innovation
As the population ages, maintaining musculoskeletal health becomes increasingly crucial, especially for older adults looking to extend their careers and active lifestyles. Our Musculoskeletal Wellness Programme is specifically designed to address the unique needs of seniors, offering a holistic approach that includes tailored exercise routines, nutritional advice, and professional guidance. By focusing on enhancing bone and joint health, reducing pain, and preventing injuries, our program empowers older individuals to stay fit, functional, and professionally engaged for longer.
Poor musculoskeletal (MSK) health exerts a profound impact on individuals, their employers, the NHS, and the broader economy. Each year in the UK, over 30 million working days are lost due to MSK conditions, which account for up to 30% of GP consultations in England. As people live longer, often with complex MSK conditions, many will experience prolonged periods of ill health. By 2030, more than 15.3 million people in the UK will be over 65, significantly increasing the demand for MSK services. Our targeted MSK innovation seeks to mitigate these challenges, enhance health outcomes, alleviate economic burdens, and improve the quality of life for older adults.
