NHS CEP finalists for HSJ award
Anglia Ruskin University delivering NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme has been shortlisted for the 2024 HSJ Partnership Award: Best Education Programme for the NHS
Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) is delighted to announce that the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme (CEP) has been shortlisted for Best Educational Programme at the HSJ Partnership Awards recognising an outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS.

Now in its seventh year, 228 entries have been received for this year’s Partnership Awards, with 188 projects and individuals meriting inclusion on the final shortlist, The high volume – and exceptional quality – of applications once again mirrors the impressive levels of innovation and care continually being developed across the UK’s healthcare system.
Following the thorough judging process, Anglia Ruskin University which delivers the NHS CEP was shortlisted, ahead of the official awards ceremony to be held on the 21 March, with the NHS CEP standing out as a real ‘success story’ worthy of a prized place on the panel’s shortlist.
The NHS CEP, formed in 2016, is an NHS England Initiative delivered by Anglia Ruskin University. It supports staff in the NHS to gain the skills and knowledge to develop innovative ideas to address the challenges facing healthcare, while retaining staff to the NHS. The programme is open to everyone working in the NHS, and to date has supported over of 1,000 individuals to develop healthcare innovations. With support from over 50 partners both from industry and the NHS, the CEP has created a diverse and inclusive community to help nurture the next generation of healthcare innovators.

The 2023 awards judging panel was once again made up of a diverse range of highly influential and respected figures within the healthcare community, including; Tosca Fairchild, Chief of Staff, South East London ICB, Matthew Hopkins, Chief Executive, Mid and South Essex NHS FT, Shabina Azmi, Chief Pharmacist, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB, Professor Edward Kunonga, Director of Population Health Management, NENC ICB and NECS, as well as a range of esteemed healthcare leaders from across the UK.
